This application serves as a calculator designed to determine stresses from strain gauge rosette data. Upon entering isotropic material properties, users can input strain data from the rosette to calculate maximum and minimum principal stresses, along with the direction of the maximum principal stress. It is important to note that consistent units must be utilized throughout the input process. A user-friendly display is overlaid on the rosette to visually indicate the direction of the calculated stresses.

The input fields are structured as follows: the text field labeled 'Y' accepts 90-degree strains, while the 'XY' field is designated for strains at 45 degrees. The 'X' field allows for the entry of strain at 0 degrees. Material properties can be entered in designated fields, with 'E' representing the modulus of elasticity and 'v' for Poisson’s ratio. The interface restricts inputs to real numbers only, and pressing Enter finalizes the current input and transitions to the next relevant field. There are two main categories of inputs: strain fields and material properties.

However, it is crucial to be aware that this calculator does not provide safeguards against invalid data entries that could result in erroneous calculations; instances of invalid inputs may yield 'nan' results in the stress fields.
